Victoria Secret Panty Party

I was super excited that I was able to pick up eight pairs of panties. I am now stocked haha. I even picked up on the mint green sweat pants. I am loving them, the color is totally in for this fall season.

These signature fit are the only ones that fit me since I am a shorty. I forget that Victoria Secret has really tall fit models. I also like that they have the elastic at the bottom.
Sadly, the panty party ended today, super stoked about my purchases.

Easy Nail Art

Ok, so yes I bought the Checkered Sally Hansen Salon Effects because I saw Gwen Stefani rocking them in No Doubts new video for "Settle Down". Like any Gwenabee, I had to have them on my fingers because pretty much everything Gwen rocks looks pretty awesome, she has major influence on my personal style.

I have received a lot of praises on my nails, so I thought I should let you guys know how good they are. They did take me a while to get on and fit correctly on my finger nails. I had to trim them using my nail cutters because the file it came with did not cut them as the pic showed it should, rather it tried to peel  off my nail
art.

The other thing about them was that they did chip the first day I had them because I had to head into work right as put them on and I work at a restaurant, so I am constantly washing my hands. What I did to fix it was trim my nails when I got home, and so far I have had no more chipping.

I have had these on for more than three weeks and they still look really good. You can find these at your local cosmetic aisle, they are priced at approximately $8. So, I hope you enjoy and try them out. They have them in so many different effects. What will you choose?

Flower Print Shorts

Here I am in front of the Field Museum in Chicago
I am in love with printed shorts this summer, the kind that reminds of you gardens, yes I am talking about the flower printed shorts. I bought a pair myself which I love because they are so feminine.

Here are a few you can find at your local stores.

These denim flower print shorts are by Free People. They have an edginess added by the cut-off distress look. They are priced at $68. You can definitely wear these with a sheer top or a sold color tank top.

These are the ones I am wearing I got the at Pac Sun. These are the Kirra Navy Floral Challis. They are priced at $24.50. They are my favorite and I was stoked that I was able to pair them with my bright blue sandals, as one of my outfits for my vacation in Chicago. They have elastic at the back with a few knife pleats at the front and the also have pockets.

Here are a pair of floral printed shorts by Warehouse. You can find them at ASOS.  These are very tailored with cuffs at the hem, and box pleats at the waist line. They also have pockets. These are priced at $37.28. I would pass on the long sleeve top, since it is summer and the heat is unbearable, but do soften these black floral printed shorts with a feminine top.

Friday the 13th tattoo's

It is that day, Friday the 13th! To some full of bad omens and bad luck! The opposite for me, so far my day started off really good. Went to work, was given a free manicure at work, awesome perk, then met up with my friend Hugo to kick it and have dinner.

It is always great to see him since we go way back to Jr. High. He then convinced me to get a Tattoo, since today was the third Friday the 13th of the year and that rarely happens.
So he finally convinced me and here it is. Oh did I mentioned he hooked it up :)

I decided to give myself a diamond that last forever, just incase I don't ever get a real one.

Traveling in Chicago

The past few days have been amazing! I have been taking in the beautiful city of Chicago. Before I left California my friend Alex mentioned to me that it is going to be hot, so I made sure to pack accordingly.
I brought all my summer clothes and my most comfortable shoes, sadly within two days I had blisters and a cut on the top of my foot. The humidity must have made it worse for my feet.
I must say I did pack way too many pairs of shoes when in doubt just pack your flats and one pair of high heels.

Well I just have two more days of this beautiful city so I gotta go and check it out.

In Love with Gillette Venus Spa Breeze

With summer in full force I am constantly in need to make sure my legs are as smooth as a baby's bottom, I want to be able to show off my legs in a skirt or a pair of short, let's not forget that bikini. Therefore, I have to make sure to have a good razor in my shower.  I am happy to be able to share my new love, the Gillette Venus Spa Breeze 2 in one razor.

This new razor by Gillette has a built in shave gel bars, thus there is no need for a separate shaving gel. All you need is to add water to it and voila it builds a gel that nourishes as it shaves. I think this product is worth the price, since I don't have to buy a separate shaving cream, which they some times break on me and I have to throw away a whole can because some how the can has lost all its' pressure.

If you don't want to commit or you just want to try them out you can find the disposable version at your local store for $6. Let me know how these work out for you and if you like them.

Make a splash this summer with these colorful bags

Make a splash this summer with these colorful wallets and bags. I am in love with the teal or aqua marine colored  bags and wallets for summer 2012.

I have this Michael by Michael Kors wallet in aqua priced at $138. I purchased this wallet at Macy's. I believe that they are now sold out of the wallet in this color, but I have found others that you might be able to get your hands on.

Here is BQUILTIE  by Steve Madden priced at $48. This is a great purse for a night out, I love the gold chain it makes it look more sophisticated.

The Classic Q Lil Ukita  from the Marc by Marc Jacobs collection is a fun way to stay within the color wave. This bag is priced at $428. It is great to use during the day it has a hand strap and an adjustable shoulder strap.

This Chanel mini clutch priced at $795 is super cute. You can visit your local Chanel store to purchase it. I like that it is small and that it has the quilted look to it.

Let me know which one is your favorite. Thanks for reading.

It is that time again, shopping for sandals!!!

I had free time on my hands and where do I end up? at the mall looking at sandals. It is now to time to seek some new sandals to add to my summer collection. I stopped my Macy's and I literally couldn't make up my mind.

It didn't help that they have a lot on sale.

I really liked these Style & Company (on my left) very much, I love the colors and the hardware. I just imagine them going with a pretty white summer dress or even a pair of shorts. They even come in other colors.

The Steve Madden Glaare (on my right) were a completely different choice from The Style & Co. They are so dressy, I like the grey in the sandal with the gems. I feel like I can only wear these to a dinner with friends or even a cute date.

Decisions, decisions? Well I hope that you find a cute pair for the summer.

Maybelline Mascara

With this hot weather one of my favorite items of make-up to use is Maybelline Mascara Colossal Volum Express. I will recommend any of the different lines that they carry but to get it in water proof.

Water proof mascara is the best to use in summer and humid weather since it doesn't run, you can dip in the water and have some make-up still in place.

I tried both the waterproof and regular version of The Colossal Volum Express and the waterproof version makes my eyelashes huge and they stay in place for the majority of the day, while the regular mascara makes my eyelashes fall flat.

"Vows" Album by Kimbra Check it out

This picture is from Details Magazine
So many of you know have heard of Kimbra a New Zealand beauty by now, she was on Gotye "Somebody That I Used to Know" she has also released a song named "Warrior" she recorded with Mark Foster and A-Trak. Her album released today in the US. I think she has really good potential to break through the US with her amazing voice because her voice is so melodic and gritty at the same time. It does help that she is a good looking woman also and that she has amazing style.

Photo from Google.com
Her songs off her album "Vows" sound of wanting some one, are super catchy lyrics, and have some amazing beats. The song "Settle Down" lyrics come straight from her album title, it is about settling down with some one. They sound so dreamy at the beginning.  "Cameo Lover" is very pop-electro  and the lyrics sound to me like they are about a part-time lover.

You can get her single "Cameo Lover" as a free download on iTunes, but I really recommend buying the Album you wont regret it, your ear buds will thank you for it.

"Vows" is really fun to listen to, Kimbra has some really funky beats on her songs. She definitely knows how to work with her voice in order to make it distinctive, she normally records her own voice singing the beats and plays it back as she signs along to the song.

Check out this video on YouTube.com of her performing at Bardot in LA. I wish I could have gone to this show, but I had to work and I had school in the morning. Here is another version of "Settle Down" by Kimbra click here.

Adding a Pop of color to your Outfit

Taken from www.pantone.com

I am loving this Spring/Summer colors 2012, they are all fun and work for all color skin types. I have already bought a a few items to add to my closet and my wardrobe to add that pop of color.

Here are a just a few ideas on how to make an outfit stand out a bit more:

I have recently purchased a pair of sandals for the summer, I was in Nordstrom Rack which is walking distance from where I live, I know bad idea right but so convenient. I was you know just browsing the shoe department when I spotted these beauties.

You can add a Pop of color to your outfit by a using a great bold color shoe.

I have to say that I have never heard of the brand, but these are seriously the most comfortable shoes I have found in a very long time.

The other way to add color is by finding a great skinny belt in a neon color
Photo taken from: Bloomigdales.com
This Michael Kors belt priced at $42, in neon pink is a wicked way to make your outfit stand out.

Click here to buy it. Happy Shopping everyone and please let me know what you find.

Hawaiian Tropic Shimmer Effect

Getting ready to head to the beach and I was thinking about what is another product I am in love with for the summer. I found this product last year when I was going and I thought I should share. Hawaiian Tropic Shimmer Effect new product.

The sun block by the company not only gives you some protection but it adds a glow to your skin, making it look look more lustrous skin. I believe it only was sold in 8, 20 and 40 UVB/UVA when I bought it. It is part of one of their actual sun blocks since the company is known for their tanning lotions.

What I like about it is that when you need to shower it comes off easily and it smells so good. You can find this product at your local drug store.

Bronzer blush summer make-up Mac

So with summer just hitting us very soon and if your in Southern California we are are already feeling the hot weather I am making a list of a few must haves to keep in your beach bag. If spending a lot of time out in the sun is what you expect to do this summer, having that natural glow works best when you keep your make-up to the minimum.

A few items I have fallen in love with:

Mac Make-up has a few blushes that have shimmer in it, and act as a bronzer and highlights your check bones with the shimmer. I have used Sunbasque sheer tone shimmer blush.

Another Mac product I love to wear during the summer is Margin frost Powder blush. This has the shimmer but adds more color to your skin. Don't forget the water proof mascara and lip stain or lip gloss. You can find these at your local Mac Store or click here.

Clinique Dark Spot Corrector

Last year my face started breaking out on me really bad, not only do I have to deal with getting older, but I have to deal with my body changing on me. I don't like that now that I am an adult I have to face acne break outs, while when I was teenager my face was flawless.
This is me at the age of 23 with a bit of make-up on

So due to these nasty break outs my face has been left with the many battle scars of blemish marks, which has had me feeling insecure and well ugly. I have been able to finally control my acne, yay!

Now I have been trying different products that claim to remove such blemish marks and even out my skin. I tried one from Avon I bought from my mom when she was selling the product. I was using it for four months with no avail.

Then I tried one that my friend gave me, with no luck. Then I started seeing the Clinique Dark Spot corrector advertisements. I have always heard good things about Clinique, I used to use their compact when I was in High School. I decided to fork up the 50 bucks or so for the 1Fl. oz. bottle.

This is me now with no make-up
I have been using the product for a month now and I have noticed my skin more even toned and my blemish marks are reducing in size and getting lighter. The picture I posted of my skin is probably the bravest thing I have done. I am embarrassed about my skin but if I am writing letting you know about how this product is working for my skin I need to post pictures for you to believe me.

I will post an update picture in another month to let you know my progress with the lotion.

Sept 25 New No Doubt Album

Photo taken from Google.com

It seriously has been a very long time since I have felt excited for a band I love new album to come out. I believe it was when I was 17 and No Strings Attach by Nsync. Yes I even pre-ordered it from my local music shop.

It is now No Doubt's new album that has me feeling like a teenager again. The excitement of new music from a band that had taken a hiatus due to having babies, front woman Gwen Stefani releasing two solo Albums "Love Angle Music Baby" and "The Sweet Escape" and two clothing lines Harajuku Lovers and L.A.M.B.

Photo taken from Google.com
It has been more than a decade that No Doubt fans have had to wait for new music from this So Cal band. Now the band has started releasing webisodes with sneak peaks of songs off their up-coming new Album set to release Sept. 25. In the first YouTube video we get to hear a part of "Push and Shove" a song off the album. Where you can definitely here Rasta Jamaican influence. Seriously I can't wait for this new Album. It has now been marked on my calendar.

Here is the link to the first Webisode click on  YouTube.

Making your own vintage, high waisted jean shorts

While my stay in London I noticed a lot of girls wearing high waisted jean shorts, with tights because it was freezing out there. I doubt anyone would be brave enough to wear them bare legged.

Going through my closet I remembered having a pair of high waisted 501 Levi's Jeans, which at one time were dark denim, but I have owned them since I was in junior high so they have lost their color.
Photo by: Trish Bucheli editor note: please excuse my fashion project mess in the background.

Even though, I would never wear these pants out because I had slit the bottom of them since that was the style back in the 90's, I never had the heart to throw them out. I also always liked knowing I could still fit into something which I used to wear when I was younger. So I pulled them out and decided to cut them into shorts. Making my own vintage shorts.

New Jean Shorts made by Trish Bucheli
So I grabbed a ruler and a pair of scissors and I started measuring the inseam. I wanted to make sure that I would cut the hem giving me enough extra fabric just incase I needed to fix it. I measured 5 inches from the inseam. I put them back on to check the length and decided to cut one more inch off. I folded the hem and presto I got new high waisted jean shorts.

I wanted a pair for myself because they make your waist look small and they definitely influence your assets.

This was a great way to taking something old and making them into something new. I am excited to start wearing these with summer just around the corner.

Why not try finding something old in your closet and making it into something new. Let me know what u come up with. Have fun! Oh an please don't blame me if you screw up.

Steve Madden DAADE

Photo taken by: Trish Bucheli

You know when you can't stop thinking about something when you leave it behind, it is meant to be yours'?

So I went on a gander around the South Coast Plaza about two weeks ago, I had a friend come out from Australia to visit so I took him there because he wanted to do some shopping. He said that compared to the prices out in Australia everything is so much cheaper out here.

I was not looking for anything in particular, I was just popping in and out of stores looking at stuff, when I walked by the Steve Madden's  store and saw their new line of shoes. I immediately gasped as I walk towards their new booties named DAADE. I asked to try them on,  my size was the one on display, so I put them on, these shoes fit amazing. I was just really hating myself for even putting them on my feet because they were so comfortable, yet I decided to leave them behind. For the next couple of days I couldn't stop thinking about them. I even had dreams about them. I started checking out the website and just staring at them. Funny thing was that when I saw the price of them at the store they were marked at $129.99, but when I was looking them up on the website they were priced at $109.

When I finally decided to buy them, I noticed they did not offer my size online since I am a 5 1/2, yes I know small feet. So I called the store to make sure they still had them and I can save myself a drive to the mall. To my demise they had pretty much completely sold out. The girl who helped me out was really great. She helped me special order them. The awesome thing was, I got them for the price of $109 and free shipping. I guess someone messed up on the website hehe.
Photo taken by: Trish Bucheli
Here they are my new found loves, which I have received many compliments on. I love Steve Madden because their shoes are very comfortable and decently priced.
